The Independent Methodist Churches have links with a wide number of other churches and bodies.  The denomination is a member of the Evangelical Alliance, Churches Together in England (CTE), the Free Churches Group (FCG) of the Free Church Federal Council (FCFC) and Churches Together in Britain and Ireland (CTBI)

	Many of the Connexion's churches also support the work of Tear Fund

	The Connexion and its churches has regularly supported the North East HelpLink which is active in working with homeless people in the North East of England.
	Some Independent Methodist Churches also have dual membership with the Baptist Union of Great Britain and regional Associations.
