Cameron carries the Torch
Cameron Foster, who carried the Olympic torch during its journey through Hindley, was recently the guest at the Monday evening meeting of Atherton WA. Cameron astounded everyone as he described his charitable efforts and his involvement with the Olympics. The sixteen year old began to raise money for good causes when he was nine and has since raised thousands of pounds for a variety of sports charities.
One of the highlights of his work has been a visit to Kenya as a member of a sports charity group who taught sports coaching to local people. Since that visit Cameron has co-founded his own charity which has already led to one twenty-three year old Kenyon entering university to study sports coaching.
During the meeting the ladies presented Cameron with £100 for his charity work. It was a real blessing to everyone present and all the ladies wanted their picture taken with him and to touch the Olympic torch which he had brought along.
