Independent Methodist Website This website belongs to you the Churches of the Independent Methodist Connexion. The Admin Group would like to hear what you would like to see on this website. It has already been suggested that Churches could have their own page and a template is being worked on for interested Churches. An example not based on the template is one for the Admin Secretary’s Church at Atherton. Links to existing Church Websites have been added in the Churches Section. Articles from the Connexional magazine is another idea plus book reviews but most importantly keeping you informed of what is happening within the Connexion on a regular basis. Each Department can have its own page for news and information. As an example the Group looking at the new Charity Legislation will be meeting soon with a view to providing a template document for all IM Churches that will be acceptable to the Charity Commission. New General Secretary Appointed Brian Rowney was appointed as the General Secretary of the Independent Methodist Connexion of Churches at the Annual Meeting on Sunday 25th July. Brian had served as Finance Administrator for the past fourteen years, Len Ogilvie was appointed as the Ministry Organiser. Please see Connexional Officers page. |
