Christians in the Community

What do we mean when we say that we are "Christians in the Community"?  To answer this you would need to understand the mission statement of our churches - "Every Independent Methodist Church is to be involved in ministry and mission within the local community, preferably in conjunction with other Christian groups in the area".  This means that we are where God has placed us, committed to Jesus Christ, and we love him, serve him - by loving and serving one another.

Feel free to browse through our website and learn a little more about what our group of churches is about.

Model Safeguarding Policy for Churches

We have produced a model safeguarding policy that you can use for your church.  If you would like a copy of this please select the menu option "Resources" above, then select "Advice" and you will find a Microsoft Word document that you can download and use.

Safe Families for Children

A representative from Safe Families for Children is speaking at the Resource Centre on Monday 12th November at 7.30pm. This has been organised by our Wigan Circuit and you are welcome to come along and find out more about the organisation.  Other Churches and Circuits who wish to book the organisation to speak are encouraged to get in touch with them via their website.  757 Churches & community groups are already    involved and helping.  This is a wonderful organisation helping families in need, from volunteering to listen or going along to groups etc.  To learn more about them, visit https://www.safefamiliesforchildren.com/
